Massachusetts has some of the strictest regulations in the US imposed upon property owners of land containing wetlands. Simply put, home owners potentially need a permit for almost any alterations made to your property.
Did you know you may not be able to dump yard waste anywhere on your property? Not only that, when you clear, cut, fill, grade or landscape on/near wetland resource areas it may trigger the need for a permit.
Many homeowners are surprised to learn their property contains rare species or is near protected wetlands and may have a restricted buffer zone.
